A marine tube and fin heat exchanger is a type of heat transfer equipment used on ships, usually for transferring heat in a ship's thermal energy system. The design of this heat exchanger usually consists of a series of tubes arranged in parallel, often referred to as a tube bundle, which are attached to a collection box or tube sheet. The tube bundle is surrounded by several sheet-like structures called fins, which are used to increase the heat transfer surface area and thus improve the heat transfer efficiency.
